About Generations of Praises

From a child, I loved to listen to stories of God’s miracles. I would listen with wonder to Moody’s Unshackled program and Stories of Great Christians on our local Christian radio station. To a little girl’s heart, it was such a testimony that God still moves and works in people’s lives; He is the master of circumstances and the footsteps of the righteous are truly ordered of the Lord. As I grew, I loved to read biographies of real people who loved God, because they were the real workings of God. Even Foxe’s Book of Martyrs was so interesting to me, showing both how the devil deceived and God worked in the lives of saints throughout history.

In my 20’s, I married a wonderful Christian man, and we started a little family that has grown into a large family. It has been our heart to teach our children to love the Lord with all their hearts and to look for God to move, and so, we have our own stories which we tell of God’s workings in our lives. Many years ago, I began to think about and write drafts of stories I would like to share with my children and grandchildren someday. Finally, with the Lord’s help, I was able to finish the first one and get it published: The Littlest Anchor

Many stories—almost unbelievable, but true—have been recorded in the annals of history showing God’s miraculous works and faithfulness to every generation. I pray that the Lord will use these stories as witnesses to build faith in His Word and His promises, that He is real, that He cares for you, and has specific plans and a purpose for your life. As we recount these stories to our children, they build faith in their little hearts and a longing to come to know their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and for Him to become their God as He is ours. Peter said, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise to unto you, and your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call” (Acts 2:38-39).
